Undergraduate Research opportunities

Active research participation is a remarkable method for students to gain direct experience, cultivate a deeper understanding of the course material, and help clarify specific interests in the field. Getting involved in research can be as easy as talking to a professor about his or her projects and volunteering to help, or it can be a more formalized application process. On-campus job search

Explore jobs on campus, open only to undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Student assistant positions

A student employee is a part-time hourly employee who has also enrolled in the minimum required courses and has the minimum required cumulative grade point average at the University of Nevada, Reno for the primary purpose of achieving a degree. In the Workday job search, make sure "hourly" is selected under the Job Category. "Student Worker" will be noted in the job title.

Graduate assistant positions

Graduate assistants perform a variety of duties from teaching undergraduate classes to grading papers, to conducting research in laboratories. The positions are offered to graduate students through various academic departments and are paid by grants or state funds. Students interested in these positions must contact the appropriate graduate program director for specific requirements.

Staffing agencies and job aggregators

If you are looking for more options, in addition to the aforementioned resources, consider contacting one of the local staffing agencies. Depending on the type of work you are seeking, industry-specific agencies such as Geotemps or Aerotek are good choices. If you are looking for more general opportunities, a series of staffing agencies can be found .
